A Japanese cleaner designed for cutting tools
RAZORSAW Yanipika (ヤニピカ) is an alkaline cleaner developed in Japan for the maintenance of pruning and cutting tools.
During pruning and sawing of green wood, blades accumulate sap, resin, tannins and other plant residues. As they dry, these deposits become sticky and hard, increasing friction and reducing the smooth movement of the blade.
The tool may appear to cut less efficiently even though the edge is still properly sharpened.
Yanipika helps soften and remove these residues, restoring a clean blade surface and maintaining excellent cutting performance.
Suitable for Japanese saws and pruning tools
Yanipika is recommended for:
- Japanese pruning saws (ryoba, kataba and folding saws)
- pruning shears and secateurs
- Japanese uekibasami trimming scissors
- hedge shears
- sickles and garden blades
- chainsaw chains
- hedge trimmer blades
Regular cleaning helps preserve the cutting quality and extends the service life of professional gardening tools.
How to use Yanipika
Spray 2 to 3 times onto the dirty areas and leave for approximately 20 seconds before wiping with a dry cloth.
For older or particularly stubborn deposits, the product can be left to work for up to 60 seconds.
Yanipika contains a temporary anti-corrosion agent. However, for carbon steel tools, we recommend finishing maintenance with a thin layer of camellia oil to protect the blade.

Avoid contact with:
- eyes
- mucous membranes
- damaged skin or wounds
Avoid inhaling spray mist.
We recommend wearing protective gloves and safety glasses and using the product in a well-ventilated area.
In case of contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
Keep out of reach of children.
Be careful when wiping blades: cutting edges remain sharp.
