The fineness and narrowness of its blade allow it to be used as a budding pruner (mekiri basami).
We recommend reserving them for young herbaceous parts, as their cutting edge is very fine and rather fragile. Avoid using them on woody branches.

Its hardness rating (Rockwell) is HRC 60, whereas European blades are often between 48 and 52.

The pine needle-type spring is both flexible and dynamic and can be interchanged with a Franche-Comté-type spring (two lugs are provided on the handles for this purpose).
