Traditional one-handed Japanese shear (Hakari basami) made of extremely robust KA70 high carbon steel from the Koshiji brand.
With an unconventional shape, with short blades, halfway between topiary scissors and gardener scissors, they exude solidity !
This type of shear is initially intended for pruning topiary foliage but can be used to cut woody parts up to 4 or 5 mm in diameter (no more !). So it’s a versatile tool.
Ideal for switching from hedge trimming, topiaries, niwaki, grasses, aromatics too...

Hollowed blades to evacuate sap and pruning waste, limiting friction and excess thickness between the blades.
KA70 high carbon hardened steel, extremely robust, considerably spacing the sharpenings.
Hardness index (Rockwell) : HRC 60 to 61 (European blades are often between 48 and 52)
Blades and handles forged in one piece for great longevity.
Delivered in a beautiful red cardboard box with veining imitating leather (dimensions: 240 x 100 x 30 mm).
