Kiribashi, Japanese garden shears 200 mm made of Aogami steel, from the new brand Kuroco series designed by the renowned brand Yoshioka Hamono.

These very modern-looking shears benefits from all the experience of the Yoshioka family, who have been supplying us with our wonderful MASAMUNE shears and scissors for a long time.

They are halfway between traditional garden shears (Ueki basami) with broken handles and kiribashi, another type of traditional shears with long handles. By keeping the start of the handle at index finger level, you retain the usual control of uekibasami shears by placing your index finger above and your middle finger just below. Finally, probably to adapt to the Western market, a spring has been added to help open the kiribashi for people who are not used to using them.

The extremely hard and wear-resistant Aogami tempered steel blades guarantee incredible, long-lasting sharpness. They are riveted onto steel handles with a slightly rough finish for a better grip.

The steel is treated with an anti-oxidative surface process that gives it the superb blue/black hue characteristic of the Kuroco series.

The blade is polished to facilitate cutting and limit the adhesion of sap or resin, then coated with a surface treatment to limit corrosion.
