Pruning sickle or Nobori Kama, a type of pruning hook used by Japanese gardeners to prune while climbing trees (Noboru means ‘to climb’ in Japanese).
It is similar to a pruning hook in its use.
Also very useful for removing unwanted young branches, brush cutting or small forestry works !
16 cm blade made of 4 mm thick carbon steel, laminated and heat treated, with a Rockwell HRC 62 hardness for an extremely hard and durable cutting edge.
Beak offset 6 cm deep.
The 230 g blade weight provides perfect inertia for cutting when striking with its long 33 cm Japanese white oak handle, finished with a spur for a perfect grip.
The tip at the end of the blade is also very practical for catching branches or selecting a branch to remove by pulling it sharply towards you.
