Traditional Japanese pruner in carbon steel, Tsugaru type for long pruning works on fruit trees. TENJU brand.
This Tsugaru type model is well known in northern Japan, in Aomori Prefecture, a region renowned for its apple production.
The triangular shape of this blade, in the shape of a "mountain head", typically Japanese, was designed more than 300 years ago for long pruning work (fruit trees pruning, vines, etc.) and cutting hard woods.
But you can use it for any pruning works in the garden (rose bushes, shrubs, etc.)
This pruner has straight handles and a shock absorber fitted with a thick spring to limit fatigue and injuries associated with repetitive movements. Its use is very pleasant during intensive work.
Weight: 260g. Length: 200mm. Blades: 50 mm (a little shorter than other models).
High carbon SK5 hardened steel, extremely strong, widely spaced sharpening.
Secateurs of a lightness and resistance little known in Europe. Hardness index (Rockwell): HRC 58 (European blades are often between 48 and 52)
One-piece forged blades and handles for long life.
The blades are polished with a "mirror" finish for a perfect cut, to limit the adhesion of sap or resin and to facilitate their cleaning.
Equipped with a blade clamping ring, with a "chrysanthemum flower" motif, a symbol of longevity...
"Comtois" type spring approaching the pruning shears of our ancestors.
Simple genuine leather clasp.
