Japanese pruning sickle or Nobori Kama, a type of pruning sickle used by Japanese gardeners to prune while climbing trees (Noboru means "to climb” in Japanese). It is similar to a pruning hook in its use. Also very useful for brush cutting !
16 cm blade made of 5.5 mm thick carbon steel, laminated and heat treated, with a Rockwell HRC 62 hardness for an extremely hard and durable cutting edge. The 230 g blade weight provides perfect inertia for cutting when striking with its long 36 cm handle made of Japanese white oak, finished with a spur for a perfect grip.
Total weight of the tool : 430 g.
Comes with a red leather blade guard with snap closure, tab and eyelet for hanging.
