The tip of the blade protrudes about 1 cm from the end of the handle when the saw is closed. This allows the blade to be opened easily without using your hands, by leaning on a support and using it as a lever.
The safety catch holds the blade open.
However, we recommend that you wear leather gloves when using these blades.
